Battery disposal information (BattDG)
This translation is provided for your convenience. The German version is legally binding.
In connection with the sale of batteries and accumulators and of devices containing batteries, we are obliged under the German Battery Act (BattDG) and the EU Batteries Regulation to inform you of the following:
Meaning of the symbols on batteries

The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol means that waste batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are legally obliged to collect them separately and return them.
Additional markings based on pollutant content

- Pb contains lead
- Cd contains cadmium
- Hg contains mercury
You can return waste batteries to us free of charge after use (Schirmer GmbH CNC-Service, Unter den Eichen 15, 57635 Weyerbusch, Germany, also by post with sufficient postage) or hand them in at a municipal collection point or a retailer.
Safety
Lithium batteries can catch fire if damaged, short-circuited or overheated. Tape over the terminals before returning them, do not store damaged batteries near flammable materials and, where possible, remove batteries before disposing of a device.
Environment, health and waste prevention
Batteries can contain substances that harm the environment and health if disposed of improperly. Separate collection allows valuable materials to be recovered. Avoid waste by using rechargeable batteries instead of single-use batteries where possible and by using batteries fully.
